How to get started

1. Stay Informed

The best way to start is by staying connected and up-to-date! Follow us for updates, announcements, and community events:

  • Being informed keeps you ahead and ready to dive in!

2. Set Up Your Wallet

To interact with ShidoKid and the Shido Chain, you’ll need a wallet. Here’s how to get started:

2.1 Choose Your Wallet

  • MetaMask: The most widely used wallet for the Shido EVM ecosystem. Perfect for dApps and DeFi interactions and you can use it on smart phones through an app or on desktop, through a browser extension.

  • Kepler: For interacting with the Cosmos side of Shido. However, many dApps (including ours) do not fully support Kepler yet. Stay tuned for future integrations!

2.2 Create or Import a Wallet

  • If you already have a wallet like Kepler or others, you can import it into MetaMask using your private key or seed phrase.

  • If you’re starting fresh, follow these steps:

    1. Download MetaMask

    2. Create a new wallet and secure your seed phrase—this is critical!

    3. NEVER share your seed phrase with anyone. Write it down and store it safely offline.

A wallet allows you to receive assets, but to interact fully, you’ll need gas and tokens. Let’s dive into that next.

3. Get Gas (SHIDO Coins)

In blockchain, transactions require "gas," which is paid in SHIDO coins. Here's what you need to know:

  • SHIDO is the native coin of the Shido Chain and is required for most on-chain actions (e.g., transfers, staking, smart contract interactions).

3.1 How to Get SHIDO Coins

  • SHIDO on Mainnet: Available on the Shido Mainnet natively.

  • ETH ERC20 Token: SHIDO also exists as an ERC20 token on Ethereum.

    • You can bridge SHIDO ERC20 to SHIDO Mainnet (SHI20) using the official bridge.

  • Other Ways to Obtain SHIDO:

    • Centralized Exchanges (CEXs), like BitGet or MEXC

4. Get KIDDO Tokens

KIDDO tokens are the backbone of the ShidoKid ecosystem and essential for accessing most of our services.

  • Make sure your wallet is set up with SHIDO for gas, and then head to Our DEX to acquire KIDDO.

5. Explore the dApp

The best way to interact with ShidoKid’s smart contracts and services is through our dApp.

  • Use your MetaMask wallet to connect and explore features like batch transfer tools, a small social network experiment and much more to come!

6. DYOR and Get Comfortable

Finally, take your time to understand the ecosystem.
